Gayatri Goundadkar used Anthropic's Claude to help unpack SwiftUI concepts and understand how PencilKit handles stroke data. Anton Baranov relied on Apple's Foundation Models framework to generate personalized, context-aware feedback and summaries after each presentation session, and used Claude Agent in Xcode 26 to translate his app into 20 languages.

"When a person draws, my app uses Apple's PencilKit and Accelerate frameworks to analyze stroke data and recognize tremors. It detects what is intentional and what is not, and removes the tremor component," explained Gayatri Goundadkar, describing how her app stabilizes artwork for users with tremors.

Karen-Happuch Peprah Henneh, who only learned Swift this year, turned to Claude for help designing the rain simulator and implementing the A* pathfinding algorithm, tasks that would have taken months to complete alone. She noted that what would have taken her months to accomplish was completed in three to four days with AI assistance. Yoonjae Joung trained his own machine learning model using Create ML before integrating it into LeViola with Core ML, experimenting with Claude, OpenAI's Codex, and Google's Gemini to familiarize himself with Swift syntax.

These projects highlight a fundamental shift in how AI tools are democratizing software development. "The digital divide is very glaring. Many of these people didn't have access to computers growing up. There are a lot of problems that technology is able to solve, but if people from where I'm from are not the ones designing it, it's a bit difficult to catch up and learn it. Anton Baranov's Pitch Coach demonstrates another angle: even when solving a seemingly universal problem like presentation anxiety, the developer's personal context shaped the solution. His mother, a linguistics professor, mentioned her students' struggles with public speaking, which sparked the idea. The app now serves multiple use cases beyond presentations, including rap performances and stand-up comedy routines, because users define how they want to use the tool.
