Huang explained the logic in an interview with Bloomberg: "If they would like to put a specialized XPU into a data center, why not make it easier for them to connect it to the NVIDIA infrastructure?" What Does This Partnership Actually Include?

The expanded collaboration between NVIDIA and MediaTek covers three major areas of computing. The companies are developing AI-focused PC chips designed to support what Huang calls a "reinvention of the Windows PC for the age of agents." This builds on NVIDIA's RTX Spark platform, which was announced in May in collaboration with Microsoft and features 1 petaflop of AI performance (roughly equivalent to one quadrillion calculations per second) and up to 128 gigabytes of unified memory.

Beyond personal computers, the partnership extends into automotive technology, combining MediaTek's automotive system-on-chip (SoC) designs with NVIDIA's accelerated computing, artificial intelligence, and graphics technologies for software-defined vehicles.
