"The other question is the life cycles of building an airplane are so long. If you look at Bell 525, they've been trying to certify that for close to 20 years. The team that originally was building, let's say, the aero model, is probably not that involved," stated Goldstein.

"This administration, I think, has been very focused on specific things: bringing manufacturing back to America, jobs, America leading in technology and innovation in aviation. We fit a lot of core platform goals. They look at industries with lots of burdensome regulations. They said we're going to help cut the red tape to let America innovate, and that's literally what they've been doing. For any entrepreneur it's a dream scenario," said Goldstein.

What Are Archer's Near-Term Commercial Milestones?
Archer's first commercial flights are expected to begin in Abu Dhabi, where the company is pursuing a Restricted Type Certificate (RTC) program. This regulatory pathway allows limited commercial operations to commence before full Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type certification is completed. The RTC approach creates an opportunity to generate revenue and gather operational data while the certification process continues in the United States.
Goldstein noted that both the US and UAE regulatory processes have progressed well, though geopolitical factors in the Middle East introduce timing uncertainties. The FAA's eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP) will also permit certain operations before full type certification, providing additional near-term pathways to commercial service.
