Rocheleau emphasized this point during the Texas event, noting that "building a regulatory framework, building a structure that will actually enable all of this to scale across the nation and to be used as examples around the world is equally important as the technologies themselves". Last December, the Department of Transportation unveiled the nation's first Advanced Air Mobility National Strategy, providing a regulatory framework to support ongoing development and integration of these technologies. In October 2024, the FAA unveiled its Special Federal Aviation Regulation (SFAR) to establish rules for the safe, efficient integration of advanced air mobility aircraft into the National Airspace System (NAS).
