The OpenAI CEO has predicted that college graduates will soon be working "some completely new, exciting, super well-paid" jobs in space, a vision now backed by billionaire space entrepreneur Dylan Taylor, who says humans could be commuting to the moon by the early 2030s.

While space employment sounds like science fiction, Taylor points out that humans are already working in orbit. The International Space Station has maintained continuous human presence for 26 years, though currently limited to a handful of trained astronauts. The real shift, Taylor explained, involves scaling up from this tiny workforce to accommodate the general population.

Two years later, he founded Voyager Technologies, which went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2025 with a $3.8 billion valuation, making Taylor a billionaire at age 53.
